Grapeffrt FRESH JUICY Leaders Strengthen Holds On Positions The Notre Dame hoopsters, by virtue of an 8 to 5 victory over Hiawatha, cellar place team, took a tighter hold on first place in the county junior high league during the past week. The Carbon Frosh trounced the Castle Gate boys 21 to 3 to tie for second place with the Helper team. In the sophomore league, Carbons outfit had little difficulty in taking the measure of the Castle Gate Scouts to remain in first place, i Last week the Sunnyside boys en- tered into the winning column by a surprise 18 to 15 victory over George Youngs sophomores. Helpers loss to Sunnyside 16 to 18 gives the league an interesting race between Helper, Sunnyside and the Carbon sophs. The Castle Gate Scouts are definitely out of the race, through their loss to the Sophs. This week, if Sunnyside can trip the sophomores once more and Helper can take the Scouts into camp, the league will be in a three-wa- y tie. Junior high games this week will find Notre Dame traveling to Helper and Hiawatha entertaining the Car- -' bon Frosh.
