Price and Ogden were the contestants for the 1938 convention, the latter" city having waged a considerable campaign for next years meeting. However, unity of forces of Helper and Price registered the victory, bringing to the local lodge, baby unit of Utah Moosedom, the unusual honor of having the opportunity of serving as host to the state convention during the year following its organization. Mayor J. Bracken Lee had extended a warm invitation to the convention in making known that the welcome sign is always out to organizations of the state. A. J. Carlson of Helper was the retiring president and as his successor George A. Gasoaric of Park City was elected. John Causer of the Helper lodge was named as one of the vice presidents of the order for 1938. The State Women of the Moose, ladies Auxiliary organization, will hold their convention here in conjunction with the mens order next year, a combination conclave which will result in bringing probably four or five hundred delegates and lodge members to Price. Date of the convention will be announced later. pre-concla- ve .
