Blood Proposed cost of the new Carbon county junior college, under a con- undertaking cooperative templated between the state and the public works administration, is $272,000, according to information received this week from George Ockey, clerk of the Carbon school district. The local college is one of eight for which Governor Henry H. Blood has submitted an application to the P. W. A. for a 45 per cent grant. The total cost of the projects sought by the state will be $1,441,-27- 3. The states portion of this would be $792,700 and the expected grant from the P. W. A. $643,573. Of the states funds the institution will provide $22,700, and the governor from, sources at his command, $770,000. Supplementing the junior college building, the Carbon district plans to spend $6,000 for construction of a building containing a gymnasium and auditorium.
