Show I T II E PAGE TWENTY Reemployment Bureau Prepares To Meet Increased Demand For Workers In County Preparations to handle increased work placements expected to result from the improvement in employment opportunities are being made by the district office of the national reemployment service here, Manager Walter D. Daugherty announced this week. Judging by the number of calls for highly qualified individuals received by the N. R. S. office, there is going to be a shortage of help, and all employers planning to expand their personnel are urged to take immediate He action, Mr. Daugherty said. further reported that the national reemployment service is equipped to help employers find the type of individuals they want. Applicants for employment are also urged to cooperate with the N. R. S. by registering with the local office in the event they are not already on the rolls. Assistance of employers and workers will enable the employment bureau to match unemployed persons with the jobs to be filled. Price Girls Victors In College Election Two Price girls won posts in the annual election held recently by the Associated Students of the College of at Salt St. Lake City. They are Miss Marie Louise Can-cewho was named secretary, and Miss Victoria Peternel, who was victorious in the race for treasurer. Both girls have been active in affairs of the college. They will assume their duties in the fall. s, ISSUED FOR PAST MONTH Price City hospitals financial report for April reveals that the institution broke just about even during the month, with receipts amounting to $5015.53, as compared with disbursements of $5053.39. Collections during the month included $2999.64 on April business, $1796 on business for previous months of this year and $216.89 on business for the previous year. Disbursements are represented by $2409 in current bills paid and in current bills payable. Listed as hospital earnings are the following items: Board and room, $4338; operating room, $635; medicines and dressings, $227.50, fees, $271.25; nurses board, $62.25; glucose, $202; miscellaneous, $151.64; total, $5887.64. $2,-644.- 39 X-R- ay SCOUT DISTRICT CAMPOREE WILL DRAW MANY BOYS Virtually every Boy Scout in the Carbon district is expected to attend the countywide camporee to be held in the Price City park on June 4 and Chairman Ray Walters 5, District announced Tuesday. Troop members are required to participate in this event in order to be eligible for the summer camps of the Utah National Parks council and the statewide camporall to be held in October in connection with the Utah state fair. The camporee program will feature a campfire court of honor, athletic activities and contests in various phases of Boy Scout work.
