Tanner of Loa, Wayne county, in the proposal for development of a motor highway from the Salina canyon route to the home community of the southern district lawmaker. The proposal calls for improvement of the road which now extends to Fish lake, branching off of the Salina canyon route at a point sixteen miles south of Emery. The unimproved section from the latter point to Loa miles is approximately thirty-foand has served to some degree as a route into Fish lake. In support of his proposal, Senator Tanner pointed out that over that road Price would be one hundred and ten miles from Loa while the motoring distance from the Wayne county community to Salt Lake City is two hundred and ten miles. The senator stated it as his belief that if the highconway should be placed in proper dition Price would serve many of the residents of that area as a trading center in preference to Salt Lake City. Improvement of that highway would also add to convenience of eastern Utah in making trips to Fish lake and the scenic area of Wayne which is usually referred to as the wonderland section of the state. 1659 j pre-summ- Plans Complete Church er ' On Many Here Saturday Court ur Harry French, confessed slayer of Claiiie L.
