TRAFFIC VIOLATORS IN CARBON COUNTY With .Serious Offenses On State Highway Continuing one of the most extensive campaigns against highway violations in years, four complaints charging serious traffic offenses were filed Tuesday, and defendants in three of the cases were fined by Justice J. W. Hammond. A fine of $100, half of which was suspended, was imposed on Art Haycock after he pleaded guilty to a charge of driving while under the in fiance of liquor on the State Patrolman highway Sunday. Vernon Davis was the complaining witness. Wilford Phillips and Clifford Callaway were each fined $25 for rackless driving between Price and Helper on Sunday and Saturday, respectively. Phillips was specifically accused of driving between 60 and 75 miles per hour and passing other vehicles on blind curves, while Callaway allegedly drove around cars without having sufficient time to pass them safely Price-Help- er t - - T I 4 4 4 4 because of oncoming vehicles. The complaints against them were signed by State Patrolman J. L. Sullhjat A reckless dtiving charge was filed Tuesday by Sullivan against Tony Kokel, who allegedly was driving on the wrong side of the highway Sunday.
