Staleys STARCH j - LB. 1 v Steadily Speedily REACH VERDICT Stepping FORWARD district court jury Friday failed to reach a verdict in the case of Adam Ostovich and Lawrence Mower, who .were charged with disturbing the peace during a labor demonstration 'at Helper on June 10, 1934. The defendants were found guilty in the justice court at Helper and sentenced to pay a fine of 100 or serve 50 days in the county jail. They subsequently appealed the case. The jury received the case about 11:00 a. m. and came out about 4:00 p. pi. with the information that there seemed no possibility of arriving at a verdict. It is understood that the vote was four for acquittal and four for conviction. Ostovich and Mower charged in separate complaints, but the trials were consolidated. Members of the jury were George 'A. Nixon, Oscar Blackburn, Phillip Fiack, Sterling Reynolds. Loren Gold-.inCalvin Christensen, James Bruno, Jr., and Albert Barnes. 21c CORN robe-fold- APPEAL CASE UNABLE TO A IMLMRL5 our at BAKING PPOWDEP. jjsj I need-- PACKAGE CALUMET et scu ps first gn office supplies your daily Box Carton 6 MATCHES pri-sen- ly , i es U-e- neces-yeneral- j?
