We wmnt to thank our EMTs for their services. Scott Holt and Brett Shaw did the testing for us. We appreciate you taking the time out of your busy schedule for this service to our senior citizens. T wo buses went to Kennecott on May 30th. Other points of interest in the Salt Lake area were also visited. Thursday night was the closing Potluck Dinner at the Center for this season. Ninety people enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner and program. The Harmonics from Salt Lake City, Rulon F. Swenson, Jack Parley Fliston, George Jensen, Vincent Coliamaand Mary Eldridge entertained us. Thanks to all. Two vans will be going to Grover on the 20th of June for the opening of the Grover stage plays. For reservations call May Peterson, or Helen Ira-ha- Shaw. Three of our Senior Citizens were honored with a gift and a big thank you for their devoted and dedicated service to the Senior Citizen program. They were Paul and Genevie Bastian, Clyde and the late Helen Okerlund. They resigned because of poor health. We will never forger their example and hard work. We drew for the white and blue pieced quilt that had been made by our senior quilters. The lucky ticket was held by Mary Christensen, from Redmond. Welcome home Lecon and Virginia. We do hope all will go well from now on. Were glad to have you home again. We still have lots of tied quilts, TV throws, baby quilts and tricot quilts for sale. Come in and see them at the Center. Quilting is held Mondays and out and join them, and then enjoy lunch at the Center with your friends. Commodities will be delivered at the Center Thursday, June 4, at 1 p.m. Have a nice summer. However, now is the time to be watching for them. If you havent treated your lawn and had a problem with them last year, there is a good chance that there are billbugs at work in your lawn now. There may not be any brown spots yc but I would surely be lookinor dry pots or grayish looking places, between waterings. The award, sponsored nationwide by DLKALB Plant Genetics, is presented to the outstanding senior agriculture student demonstrating superior sc holarship, leadership and supervised agricultural program Presenting the award was Randy Andrcasn, NSHS associate. Mark attends North Sevier High School and has been president and reporter for the local FFA Chapter. His agriculture program consists of Beef production and soil and water management Tollow mg graduation, Mark plans to attend Utah State University . As this year's winner, Mark receives a pin and certificate, and his name will be inscribed on a special plaque to be displayed in the NSHS main lobby.
