The council was asked if a decision could be made on the architect for the project. The motion was made and approved to hire Paul David Brown for this position. Councilman Roy Cooke asked that no action be taken on the bill from Dennis Davis. Tentative Budget A tentative budget was presented to the council for review qnd additions or deletions. Police Department Chief Gordon Kiesel asked permission to buy a light bar for 3U3s patrol car. The present one being used is personally owned by 3U3. Motion was approved. After the three month period he will be considered for full benefits. Trudy Sorensen, secretary for the Salina City Police and Judge Thad Wasden, be approved to work full time and receive benefits. ' ' TLl J-- f 44 Other Attorney Michael Jorgensen said that any changes in ordinances that include the floodplain must be reported to the state of Utah so the proper changes can be made. He presented an amendment to Ordinance pertaining to Designation of ATV Routes. Karren Glover moved that the amendment be adopted by resolution. All voted aye. A bid was presented from Garys 10-3-- Auto Body on the refurbishing of the ambulance purchased from surplus for the fire department. The motion was approved to pay half the bill out of this years budget, and half out of next years budget. Reading meters monthly, and repair of broken meters was discussed. A recommendation was made to have a student from North Sevier High School serve on the Library Board. Motion was made to appoint Verlene DeMille to serve as the student member of the Board. Friday, May 22, at 6 p.m. the NSMS presents Muppets, Melodies, Melodramas On Monday, May 18, the North Sevier Middle School 8th grade drama classes will present, Muppets, StartMelodies and Melodramas. 7 in the middle school at ing p.m. auditorium, the audience will be treated to fun filled puppet plays, the hilarious melodramatic spoof, 7 Wives for Dracula, and all the delightful short oleo acts that have become community favorites. Come prepared to boo the villain, laugh at the antics, and have a most enjoyable evening. (Monday night, only). Cost will be $2 per person, or $10 per family. Auxiliary and Legion will place crosses and flags on all veterans graves in the Salina cemeteries. Saturday, May 23, 9 a.m. the flags to be displayed Memorial Day morning on the lawn will be brought up from the basement and attached to the poles. Monday, May 25th at 6 a.m. the flags will be taken from the hall and placed on the lawn. At 7 a.m. we will begin serving our Chuckwagon breakfast. At 10:30 a.m. we will conduct memorial services at the Aurora Cemetery. At 11 a.m. we will conduct Memorial Service at Salina Eastside Cemetery.
