Hallows, the 2A boys basketball MVP destroyed the Rabbits in hoops, and nearly single handedly defeated the Rabbits baseball team at the last confrontation of the two schools. Hallows two home runs, five RBIs helped North Sevier edge out the Delta Rabbits 10 to 9. The Rabbits entered the competition with a 54 record - but earned only one run in the first inning. The Wolves, however, were three up - three down in their first inning at bat. At the bottom of the third inning, Hallows went into action. With a runner on first, he parked one over the left field fence, to cut into the Delta score, 4 to 2. Delta was scoreless in the 4th inning, but the Wolves added two more to knot the score at 4 to 4. Fifth inning action saw the Rabbits adding 4 points, while the Wolves remained scoreless through the inning. In the sixth inning, the Wolves scored six runs. The damage was done when North Sevier had scored three runs, with two on base. Thats when Hallows, with two strikes against him, blasted a pitch deep over the fence for his second homer and 5th RBI. During the final inning, Delta managed one more run. For a short instant they thought they would score, as Todd Topham came to bat. With a full count and two outs, he smashed one to right center field. The Wolves right fielder took off after the ball, dove, and with his outstretched arms came up with a spectacular catch, to end the game and give NSHS the 10-- 9 win.
