T'TH' side all year long HOSPrU--, TH' FIRST THING THEY CHECKUP The weather has been a little unsettled as oflate but it has done one thing - exposed the garbage and trash that has been covered by a lovely layer of white for the past three or four months. I realize that it is still a little cold and a little messy to be getting real serious about yard work and fix up repairs but we need to look around us and start thinking about cleaning up and making our yards and streets presentable again. We have a unique situation that is facing us that we havent seen for quite sometime - employment increases - and many of them will be looking our towns over in the next few weeks to look for a place to live while they arc building the prison or just to visit the area with their families to show them were they will be commuting to each day. Either way I feel we have a responsibility to show them our best side. Take a trip to St. George where employment and business is up and you will see citizens showing pride in their yards and streets and businesses. This is the start of a chain of events that makes a community look progressive and successful. I realize that it has been a very rough few years for a lot of people in the Valley financially but we have to look the part if we are going to attract successful people to our Valley. So, as you sit there in front of your picture window looking outside and dreaming of green grass and flowers, think also of the community you are helping to improve. And there is no better time to dream than today when it is still cold and dreary because tomorrow when it becomes warm and stimulating the work begins and there is plenty for all of us to do. John F.
