This year he will serve on the National Association of Postmasters Board of Directors, one of twenty one elected from across the United States. . Arlen was appointed postmaster of Salina City 20 years ago. A letter will be sent to these people telling of the violation and asking that the properties be cleaned up. Ashby presented a proposed change in business license fees that could be made. After discussion it was felt that revenue was already short this year, and Roger Nielsen made the motion to leave fees as they are for this year. There were 3 aye votes, 2 nay votes. Principal Gurney told the group that student enrollment at North Sevier Middle School at the beginning of the school year had been 306. The Postmaster of the Year award is given each year in remembrance of David R. Trevithick, the only Utah Postmaster ever to serve as National Postma- sters Association president. This award was originated in 1981. Arlen explained that the State and National Associations are there to let Postmasters help Postmasters.
