She was born September 25, 1894, Gunnison, to Lorenzo Howard and Ida Victoria Jensen Childs. She was married to Clinton Moroni Edwards, September 6, 1916, Manti; later solemnized In the Manti LDS Temple. He died August 15, 1931. She was active in the LDS Church and served as president of the Primary, counselor and secretary of the Relief Society. She had been active in the MIA She was a girl's program. member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers. She was a charter member for 67 years of the Bonne Fol Club, a sewing and cultural club. She was accomplished in the art of needlework. She owned and operated a cafe and motel in Gunnison for many Southwest Quarter of Section children; 23 three Funeral services were held Saturday, March 12, 1986 at 2 p.m. in the Gunnison IDS Stake Center. The work force baa been restructured, as needed. An eight man crew la currently used to run the Longwall during its two shifts per day, and about a shift per day is spent In maintaining the complicated machine. Thousands of feet of timber are still used in the mine as shaft are prepared for the Longwall. Roofboltere are still used, as metal rods are drilled Into the sites. Obituaries Wendell Clara H. Bown Clara Matilda Hill Bown. 76, of Fayette, Utah, died March 16, 1986 in Richfield. Clara was bom in Fayette on November 18, 1909, a daughter of Richard Return and Sara Jane Bown Hill. She was married to Elton C. Bown in Nephi, Utah on October The marriage was' 5, 1926. solemnized in the Manti L.D.S. Temple December 16, 1948. He died July 12, 1965. Clara was a member of the LDS Church and was an active member. She has served as Relief Society President; Geneologica teacher Researcher; Visiting Stake Cultural Refinement Leader. She was also active in Civic affairs and active in Daughters of Utah Pioneers (D.U.P), and was president of the Elementary school P.T.A. She is survived by sons Cecil Elton Bown of Fayette; James Clen Bown and Douglas Lee Bown, both Gunnison; a daughter, Mrs. Joseph (Patricia Ann) Spransy of Salt Lake City, Utah; 15 grandchildren; 11 great- grandchildren; brothers, Forrest and Lester Hill of Gunnison; Keith Hill of Salt Lake City; sisters, Elda Christensen and Emma James, both Fayette. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 19, 1986 at 12:00 noon in the Fayette Ward chapel where friends may call Tuesday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. and from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. prior to services. He is also survived by 13 three greatgrandchildren, grandchildren; brothers, Forrest and Lester, both Gunnison, and Keith, Sandy; and sisters, Mrs. Virgil (Elda) Christensen, Clara Bown and Emma James, all of Fayette. Funeral services were held March 15, 1985 at 11:30 a.m. in the Fayette Ward, conducted by Emma Lowe Funeral Services are pending at this time for Emma Lowe, wife of Jesse Lowb-o- f Centerfield, who died March 17, 1986.
