One theory was advanced that Jensen, vvdien riding his horse along the basks of the canal, was stricken with an epileptic spagm, which he was sfibjected tot and fell from his horse and lha.t the horse had become frightened tromped the man, causing the fatal injuries The th5o?7, however, is hardly creditable for the reason that no tracks were found that fould indicate an violence. The point where Jensens body was foujjd was more than 100 feet below the measuring wtdr. At the weir ater measured two Tuesday, the and a quarter feet, and Wednesday t was slightly lower. If Jensen above the weir, it would almost have been impossible for him to have received ther injuries he did, as the canal bed is devoid of rocks and the water runs smoothly. Indications point to foul play on the .part of some person or persons and the motff is a mystery, as Jensen had few enemies, if any, and he only carried the $5 given him Sunday afternoon by Sorenson. An examination, it is said, was made soon after the recovery of the body, and no water was found on the lungs, thus indicating that Jensen had been killed and thrown into the canal. Jensens hat has not been located, but the watch he carried was found in the clothes. when the body was tak. en to the home. Sheriff Ed. Peterson was on the scene qprly Wednesday morning and was trying .to WQrk out a clew, but tracks of sheep around the canal had obliterated all other tracks, and there was no evidence of the body of Jensen having. been carried to the brink of the canal, after he had been murdered, and thrown in, if such was the case. Carl Jensen had been a resident of Centerfield for more than 21 years, and he had followed sheep herding the major portion, of this time. He was a native of Denmark, having been born there in 1874. He came to America in 1909, having married Annie Alarie Thompson before immigrat-n- g to the United States. He is survived by the widow, Annie Alarie Jensen, three daughters, Airs. Clarence Madsen, Gunnison, Airs. Ferris Jackson and Aliss Dagna Jensen, four sons, Albert, Charles, Iner and Otto, all of Centerfield. Albert, Charles and Iner left Alonday evening for Salt Lake, planning to continue their trip to Idaho in search of employment. They were traveling in an old Ford coupe.
