Robert Osborn was a native of Utah, and was born at Escalante, November 1, 1838. In his early boyhood days he came to Sevier county and grew to manhood. October 13 he was married to Joyce Ileath, and since that time he had made Salina his permanent home. Surviving are the widow, three sons, Lee, Dan and Rex Osborn, and two daughters, Eva and Ada Osborn. The father, William Osborn, four brothers, Joseph 04)orn of Oregon, Albert Osborn of Idaho, Will Osborn of Escalante, and Warren Osborn, who is now on a mission in Georgia. Two brothers, Albert and Joe, were here to attend the funeral, but the father, who is in ill health was unable to attend. With the announcement of the death of Mr. Osborn a shadow of gloom overcast Salina and citizens bowed their heads in grief. At the school buildings, where Mr. Osborn had served faithfully fourteen years as custodian, students stood in awe, hardly believing that the one they had learned to love so dearly had heen called. Funeral services were held Tues- -' a tvrnoon at one thirty from the ward chapel for Mr. Osborn. A beautiful and impressive musical ! was given, the ward choir ing two opening and the closing 'tt.ons. A. C. Willardson gave a viuhn solo, and Dan Baker sang Lay My Head Beneath a Rose. The Holy City, a vocal solo by M. I. Ovescn, and One Sweetly Solemn Thought, by G. M. Wright, were the musical numbers given. A splendid tribute was paid Mr. by the speakers. S. J. Ot-leS. M.
