Show rrr UtAli THE SAUNA SUN, SAUNA, - ' -:- NEWS NOTES FROM - i- - Improving Main Street When the road improvement on Redmonds Main street is completed, this town can boast of one of the best thoroughfares in this section of the country. Through the activities of the town officials and with the Wie citigenerous help praffered-b- y zens Main street is tQ be graded and gravelled from State street to a point near the school house, covering a distance of about three blocks. Not only will the street be put in fine shape, but a drainage system is to be installed and at each crossing galvanized piping will be laid to carry off the waters which .have here- tofore settled along the street, causing pools of water and making the street a mass of mud. Grading was . started Monday of this week and as soon as this is complete a heavy coat of gravel will cover the entire dis tance and the road will be as firm and solid as many of the federal aid gravel roads. The work is all being done by contributions in labor and the enterprise speaks volumes for the citizens of Redmond. . Modet Disregard Dangers Notwithstanding the fact that warnings have been made time and again of the dangers of children using the state highway as a playas" a sideground and by citizens ' walk, little regard is given, and if the' practice is continued sooner or later some serious and, perhaps, fatal accident will happen. The highway was built for vehicular and motor travel and .these have the right of way.' If pedestrians must use the 'highway as a walk it is advised that regulations be' followed according to the state laws and that users keep on the proper side. Children should be cautioned by parents to cease using the highway as a playground. enjoy the mellow fragr ir- THE smokers of this modern age appreciate the smooth, mellow frathat taste and grance of Camels goodness that come from the choicest tobaccos grown.
