LaMare was not instantly killed and after being run over he was able to get to his feet, but sank to the ground. Willing hands carried the injured boy to Dr. Hagans office where an examination was made and later the boy was taken to his home at Westview. SatSal-ii.- a urday LaMare was hurried to the under where everything possible the circumstances, was done but without avail. The boy lingered until 4 oclock Sunday morning when he passed to his maker. A minute ex animation was made of the injuries and it was found that the heavy wheel in passing over the little body, had ciushed the kidneys and the bladder. No bones were broken and at no time after the accident was LaMare and it was only just before death summoned him that he did not recognize those around him. According to eye witnesses LaMare was with a group of school children awaiting the arrival of the school truck which would take them to their homes on the west side of the valley. When the truck, driven by Dallin arrived, LaMare in his eagerness to enter the truck mounted ' the step and in doing so his clothing caught on the rack of a Col-ling- s, sAUMA. UTAH.-- : The saLWa siiR k beneath the heavy wheel Collings, who is only 16 years of age, is not held to any blame as La Mare, after he had been injured,, insisted that he was wholly to blame, as he was endeavoring to get on before the truck came to a standstill. The accident happended just south p store and was witnessed oi the some by thirty boys and girls, who were waiting the arrival of the school truck which would take them to their homes on the west side. The death of the Duffin boy is the second that has come by accident within the past two weeks. Albert Poulson was killed some two weeks ago when he collided with a wagon loaded with wheat and the double tragedy has cast a gloom of sorrow over the entire valley. The unfortunate boy was the son of Co-o- ! Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Duffin. He was born in Gunnison and wa sknown by all as a child of extreme love and He was full of life, howkindness. ever, and was active in play, and his untimely calling will be mourned by hundreds of his playmates at school and elsewhere. LaMare was sympathetic to a noticeable degree and he deplored injury or sickness to his little friends. While his life was being taken from. him at the hospital, though suffering great, pain, he greeted his many callers with a smile and reached out his little arms for the clasp of love.
