Previous campaigns of the like were compared and finally committees were chosen to take the various parts that will be important in the clean-home, campaign. April 27, May 25 and June 29, were the days set apart for the three months in which real active work will be carried out. The three days, however, will not really be all the time allotted to cleaning up when the work ig once started, more esclean-tow- n pecially around the homes, it is intended that there shall be no cessation until all debris, tin cans, ash piles, corrals, garbage piles and all disease breeding elements shall have been removed and fences fixed and lawns cleaned, gardens painted, planted, trees trimmed and everye around the thing put in homes. Mr. Housefly is doomed in Salina Ilis days are surely numbered and the havoc this germ-spreadhas been doing in the past is to be banclean-tow- n ished in the clean-hom- e, movement. The LProgresso club members are to have charge of the er campaign and the haunts of the pest, from every nook and corn, er, is to invaded. Flower planting will also play an important part in the beautification of the city. This feature will be turned over to the Ladies Literary club. Nothing tends to beautify a home more than a well arranged flower plot, both in the front and back lots. Flowers are far moire attractive than weeds, and when the club members carry out their program, it is a certainty that more beauty will be added to the city. The school grounds will also come in under the beautification move, ment. C. R. Evans and M. I. Over-sowere named as a special committee to supervise the work. With the aid of the students and a .few flowers and trees, much can be done school towards beautifying the grounds.
