Throckmorton of Richfield, making examinations. He was assisted by Luzon Peterson, health nurse in the North Sevier area. Babies and children of preschool age, numbering 22, were brought to the clinic Thursday forenoon. Babies were given examinations, and the children were given shots in a series, prior to registering for the beginning of the Kindergarten class at the opening of school. Each child must present a permanent record when being registered by their parents. Clinics will be held in May and June only, before school opens in early September. The May clinic will be held on the 11th, beginning at 9 a.m. Mrs. Ted Sorenson is clinic chairman, and assistants last week were Mrs. William C. Hill and Mrs. Varlen Johnson. The two younger children, Kent and Kathie, were asleep in the upstairs bedroom, having no connection with the lower room to the East. over-heate- Business School Offer Scholarships Senior students at North Sevier High School are among those being considered for 12 scholarships, which will be awarded by Stevens Henager College this Spring, I. W. Stevens, president, said this week. Stevens Henager has schools in Salt Lake City and Ogden. Scholarship winners will be announced before May 10th, Mr. Stevens said. Each of the 12 scholarship winners will receive nine months schooling in the course of his or her choice at Stevens Henager College. The scholarship is valued at $525. If the winner decides on a longer course, the scholarship may be used to apply on the first years tuition. Over 600 high school students, 400 junior high students, and an estimated 200 elementary students, participated and winners will be presented awards during the week. Belliston, retired Southern Utah businessman, and for years president of the Juab Stake of the Latter-da- y Saints Church. Named Supervisor Of lYyoming Unit William A. Worf has been named supervisor of the Bridger National Forest, it was announced Wednesday by Regional Forester, Floyd Iverson. He fills the position to be vacated May 14th by Arthur Buckingham, who has announced his retirement on that date. Reared on a livestock ranch at Reed Point, Montana, the new Bridger National Forest supervisor was in the ranching and range business before his graduation in forestry from Montana State University in 1950. He was appointed forester on the Bridger National Forest in June 1950, and was reassigned as a range technician and forester to the Uinta National Forest, Utah. In July of 1951, he was promoted to assistant ranger. He was promoted to forest ranger on the Ashley National Forest in June 1954, and to range conservationist, with headquarters at Ogden, Utah, in April 1957. In this latter position, Mr. Worf had charge of all range improvement and reseeding activities for the Intermountain Region of the U.S. Forest Service. He was successful in establishing ad- vanced practices in the improvement of range lands through the use of herbicides, and the planting and care of newly vegetated pasture lands. Mr. Worf has served for the past two years as staff officer in charge of timber, fire, lands and recreation on the Fishlake National Forest. Active in veterans, civic and professional affairs, Mr. Worf is a member of the American Society of Range Management, the Society of American Foresters, and the Masonic lodge. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps in the South Pacific area during 1943 and 1944. Mr. and Mrs. Worf and their six children, Gary, 12; Gloria, 10; Ronald, 8; Brent, 7; Mark, 6, and Keith, 4, will move to Kemmerer, Wyoming late in May at the end of the school year.
