Show LOCALS Easter week end. m m Mrs. Bry Sorenson and daughter, Maxine, are visiting during the Spring vacation with relatives in Salina, and at the home of Mrs. Alverda Draper in Redmond. Mrs. Ernel Peterson and Mrs Carroll Mellor of Fayette, motored North on Friday, and visited over the week end with Mrs. Barbara Bates and son, Blake, in Salt Lake City. Mrs. A. E. Ziselburger and daughter, Rheta, and Mrs. Dewey Ivie returned from Salt Lake City, Sunday. While in the city, they visited Mrs. Ray Powell at Rose Park, and at the home of Neal Ivie. Mrs. Powell and daughter, Margo, returned with the visitors. They will spend the week with Mr. and Mrs. Lincoln Crane. , Durrell Mickelson and son, Arlo, celebrated the anniversary of their birthdays on the same date, March 23rd. To celebrate the event, Mrs. Mickelson entertained Sunday, with 21 joining in a family dinner, served at 2 oclock. A hot dinner was served to 150 guests, under the direction of Mrs. Waters, Mrs. Una Hales, Mrs. Vera Anderson and Mrs. Irene Christensen. Tables and decorations were arranged by Stella Larsen and JoAnn Johnson. Mrs. June Bosshardt and Mrs. Evan Mickelsen arranged the following program: song, Victor Rasmussen; vocal duet, Mr. and Mrs. Kay Hales, accompanied by Faye Hampton; song and dance, Jeri Lynne Sorenson, accompanied by Mrs. Jerold Johnson; paper doll skit, Verle Jensen singing, accompanied by Sheree Harward, with Ellen Mickelsen, Sharon Poulson, Leon Christensen, Myrna Peterson, Lynn Larsen, Meredith Johnson, Paula Jorgensen, Joyce Gibb and Carolyn Peterson in the cast; guitar numbers, Leon Christensen, Lynn Larsen and Meredith Johnson; reading, Mrs. Osmer Nielson; dialogue, Doris Christensen and Stella Larsen; a dancing game concluded the program. SUNDAY SERVICES The Sunday evening church meeting was given by the Ira Jensen family, with Mr. Jensen conducting. Nine guests enjoyed luncheon and visiting. Mrs. Terrence Jorgensen entertained Thursday afternoon honoring the first birthday anniversary of her son, Blake. On Tuesday, Mrs. Jorgensen helped her son, Dennis, observe his third birthday. Dr. and Mrs. Don L. Christensen of San Francisco, Calif.; Mrs. Elmer Nelson and Miss Margaret Kay Ashman were in Mesquite, Nevada, Friday and Saturday of last week to attend the wedding reception for Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Hafen. They were guests at the Max Hafen home. The H & W Club met Thursday at the home of Velma Black. Prizes in the pinochle game were won by Leona- Mickelsen, Bessie Poulson and Francella Kimball. Mr. and Mrs. Max Hafen, Mr. and Mrs. Tim Hafen and Douglas Hafen of Mesquite, Nevada, were Saturday and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Merlin Ashman. Mr. and Mrs. Dell Christensen and family visited the week end with Mrs. Nellie Draper. Betty and Ivan Larsen and Beth Mickelsen were week end visitors .at respective homes. Parry Jensen of Las Vegas, was a business visitor here over the week end. Mrs. Velma Webb returned home Friday with Mr. and Mrs. Donnell Thurston. Mrs. Webb visited in Alabama this Winter, going on to Los Angeles to visit the Thurstons. The Thurstons will spend a week in Utah, and will visit his father, who is ill, in Salt Lake City. Mrs. Doug Black and son, Meade, were in Salt Lake, Tuesday for a medical checkup on Meades hand. Mrs. Clifford Mickelsen accompanied them as far as Provo, and visited with her sister, Mrs. Floyd Giles. Mr. and Mrs. Albert Poulson, Mrs. Erma Hales and Mrs. Draper visited Monday with Mr. and Mrs. Vance Frand-se- n in Provo. Mrs. Frandsen is reported better, after hospitalization. The group were dinner guests of Mrs. Marinda Frandsen. Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Martin of Salina, were dinner guests of the Albert Poulsons, Tuesday evening. Wednesday, Mr. and Mrs. Poulson entertained Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Jensen at dinner. Charlotte Lowry of Manti, wfls a guest over the week end of Mi. and Mrs. Willis Poulson. Miss Lowry is a sister of Mrs. Poulson. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Crowlher and Mrs. Mildred Peterson of Axtell, visited with Mrs Millie Andrews and Mrs. Jane Durfee, t field, Tuesday. The dinner honored the Golden Wedding of Mr. and Mrs. Nelson. Mrs. Thomas Larsen accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wall of Venice to Salt Lake, Friday. They visited Mr. and and Mrs. Norman Larsen and Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Anderson. Dr. and Mrs. Don Christensen and Mrs. DeLloyd Christensen were in Salt Lake, Monday and Tuesday. The Don Christensens were honored at a party given by Mr. and Mrs. Stan Johnson, Monday evening. Mrs. DeLloyd Christensen visited her brother and his wife, Mr, and Mrs. Leslie Christensen, and the Don Christensens were guests of the Bryan Hafens. Monday afternoon. Ann Mason, Janet Harward, Stuart Johnson, Richard Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. Garry Sorensen, who are attending college in Logan, visited their parents from Wednesday until Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Max Curtis are the proud parents of a baby girl born March 19th in the Salina Hospital. The little Miss has two sisters and a brother. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Stenberg and family of Granger, visited Mrs. Luella Andrews, Thursday and Friday. Mr. and Mrs. Gail Shaw and family of Salt Lake, visited with relatives here last week. Mr. and Mrs. Charles Hawley of Salt Lake, visited with Mrs. Hawleys mother, Mrs. Mayda Stewart, Saturday. They were moving to Cedar City, where Charles will attend college. Mr. and Mrs. Oral Taylor and family visited in Gunnison at the Don Nielson home Sunday. Week end visitors from the capitol city were Mr. and Mrs. Eert Ottley. They were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Floyd Curtis. Mr. and Mrs. Frank Harward visited with their daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Vern Shaw, in Murray, Saturday, and with another daughter and Mr. and Mrs. Phil Herbert and family of Provo, Sunday. Royce Johnson and family of Provo, visited his mother, Mrs. Clayola Johnson, Sunday. lie is a trial teacher in the North Sevier High School for the next two months.
