The marriage will take place in December. Alvie is a son of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Lau of Reno, Nevada. He attended North Sevier High School, and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1954. He is a jet mechanic, and is stationed at the Webb Air Force Base at Big Springs, Texas. Airman Lau, who has been in Utah on leave, left Friday for the return to the base. Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Crane and daughters returned to Salt Lake City, Sunday. Much talk centered around the legality of the issue, and Attorney Browming stated if the bond passed, the issue would be laid before the Supreme Court for their decision. He also stated Sevier County was the first in Utah and the Nation to attempt a bond issue and translator television by a county-wid- e tax. All registered taxpayers i n the county may vote at the November 1st election, said County Attorney Olson. Those paying only a car tax in the county may vote. However, to vote, a residents must have property in their name. Joint ownership is sufficient for both husband and wife to cast a ballot. The bond issue is for $50,000, and if approved, will be paid for out of a special .75 mill levy against all taxpayers in the county.
