By the battle of the bulge, we are not refering to that hectic battle in Europe, but merely to those of us who happen to have acquired the bulge around the middle, and will have a battle to get it up those little ole mountain slopes. We havent been able to locate many deer so far this season, but there is hopes the early hunt on the Manti will chase one over this way. However, we have heard by the grapevine that sportsmen from that area have posted a few hundred hunters on the separation line with orders to shoot any deer that try to cross over. Quite a dirty trick, I'd say. If you find a little quiet canyon with no hunters and were lotsa deer, let us know not so interested in getting a deer as keeping from getting tromped to death by other hunters as we lie snoozing in the sun.
