Her dessert was a favorite of the family long before it was known as: Mrs. Utah's Chocolate Drop Cookies 3 teaspoons double-actin- g cup butter 1 cup sugar baking powder 2 eggs well beaten 12 teaspoon salt 8 squares (3 ounces) un12 cup milk sweetened chocolate, 12 teaspoon vanilla melted 12 cup chopped nuts 2 cups sifted flour Butter Cream Frosting Cream butter and sugar together until light and fluffy. Add well beaten eggs and melted chocolate. Blend well. Sift dry ingredients together three times. Add to creamed mixture alternately with milk, beating well after each addition. Blend in vanilla. Stir in nuts. Drop by teaspoon onto cooky sheet and bake in slow oven (325F.) 10 to 12 minutes. Cool and frost. Makes 3 dozen cookies. To make Butter Cream Frosting, melt 12 square unsweetened chocolate and 2 tablespoons butter. Add a dash of salt.
