Stan was showing me through the modern facilities, and I was really enjoying it, that is until he asked me to step out on the porch and stay put for a moment or two. Poked my head out over the edge of the porch, and 40 pounds (or more) of good wet snow socked me on the head and down the neck. Not sure if it was planned that way, but if is wasnt, why did everyone laugh? - . . . Reed and Marvel Hansen could at least furnish the music when they made the request that Dalla Mickelson and I sing a duet over the radio Sunday. Course, I cant read music, but I could have followed Dalla. Kinda like an echo. I didnt go, so the March of Dimes is out ten bucks. However, there are plenty more worthwhile drives, such as Cancer, Heart Fund, Red Cross, etc., and maybe Dalla and I can devise a way to get that 10 bucks without singing Love Me Tender. They could at least have selected a song we knew. Dennisons Meat Balls And Gravy 3 lbs. Spry 17 oz. S1.02 . . . See plenty of pheasants out along the highways since the week end storms. They are after food, and seems a good idea if we could find a little grain to keep em going until the snow melts. If we want to hunt pheasants, better take care of them the State has abandoned the raising program, so we have to protect what we already have. The farmers feed them nearly all year, now it should be up to the game groups or from some of that special $1.00 hunting area monies.
