S' Salina Fire Department Completes Salina In Bountiful Old t r- - I 4 4 Ft Traffic frtishap Claims Life Of Yeung r-- J 7 1 H 1 v A0 i y Inspections - Point Out Needs Members of the Salina Fire Department, under the direction of Dail Prows, chairman, completed their annual Fire Prevention Week inspections, and report a definite improvement ever their 1854 findings. Fire drills were held Monday in the Elementary Schools in Salina, Redmond and Aurora, and at the North Sevier High School. The drills were orderly out. Inspecand tion of the schools for fire hazards were also completed, with recommendations made in regards to wiring, furnaces, etc., where needed. In Salina, the department found several fire hazards, and one place they reported as a hazard to children, not from fire, tout from crumbling condition of the building. They have asked these two places be taken care of toy the owners. The picture to the left shows the crumbling building, frequented toy playing, children, and under that picture, a fire hazard that is located to the rear of the business buildings on Main Street. The fire trap is an incinerator, and could touch a fire that would wipe out the entire block.
