A I J- 4..ue in North Sevier fn Satina Quarte r Stake Set Saturday-S'inda- y THIRTY-SEVENT- SALIXA, SEVIER COUNTY, YEAR H UTAH, AUGUST On Club To Fly Spray Members of the Salina Lions Club, dn an effort to protect the health and welfare of the local citizenry, have outlined plans e for a fly spraying campaign, to be carried out the first week in September. Leath Rasmussen was named chair- man by President Reed Lorent- zen, with all members of the club cooperating to put the pro- ject over. In order to make the drive a success, and to kill all flies as w ell as treat the breeding places, dt will be necessary that every- one cooperate. The charge will only be enough to cover the cost of the spray, with the club mem- bers donating their time. Chairman Rasmussen together with club member Reed Hansen, met Monday night with members of the Salina City Council, who gave their full cooperation to the project. Mayor John Jorgensen set cside the week as Fly Erradi- cation Week, and urged every- one to lend their full cooper- ation to the worthy project. Mayor Jorgensen stated, we are in full accord with the project as set up by the Salina Lions Club, but realize it will take everyone to make it a success. If one neighbor refuses to co- operate, it leaves that one area to breed flies and spread their filth. I ask that each resident consider this project in the light of the good it will do in pre- venting the spread of disease, and in improving our way of living, then give the go ahead to the fly spray campaign. city-wid- Arrive In U.S. From Germany Lt.
