SW. cor. The Aurora Ward Sunday School sponsored a special program for Mothers Day, Sunday. A large number attended, and were high in their praise of the event. Mrs. Vione Shiner was a week end visitor in Salt Lake. Mrs. Alida Mason and sons, spent Mothers Day in Santa Clara, visiting Mr. and Mrs. Kay Anderson and family. Also present were Mr. and Mrs. LeVoy Mason of Monterey, Calif. The 500 Club met at the home of Mrs. Dona Anderson, and following a tasty dinner, cards were played, with Deon Taylor and May Peterson receiving prizes. The Sewing Club met at the home of Mrs. Nina Mason, and enjoyed an afternoon of sewing and visiting, followed by a 4 p.m. luncheon. Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Mason have returned from Idaho Falls, and were accompanied by their daughter, who has been visiting there. Mr. and Mrs. Loren Anderson spent Mothers Day at Ephraim. Board Of Trustees Set Visit To Snow College The Board of Trustees of the Utah State Agricultural College at Logan, led by President Louis Madsen, and Chairman of the Board, Thorpe B. Isaacson, will visit the Snow College campus in Ephraim, May 15th and 16th. HONORED The mothers of the Redmond ward were honored Sunday with an outstanding program, under the direction of the Sunday School Superintendency, with Lewis Sorensen in charge. Koa Shepherd was the reader, with scenes of Through The Years. Participants in the scenes were Mr. and Mrs. Dell Lewis and son; Mr. and Mrs. LaMar Bosshardt and children; Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Hampton, Mrs. Esmont Jensen and son, and Mr., and Mrs. Elmer Nelson. Songs were by Vera Sorenson, Brahams Lullaby e; duets, The Lord Is My Shepherd, and Tell Me That You Love Me, Owen Jensen and Purpose of the visit is to view the facilities at the college, which became a branch of the A.C. by act of the 1951 Utah Legislature. During the visit by the Board, it is anticipated that a program of improvement will be outlined, and definite steps taken to coordinate all classes at the junior college with the program of the Mother school. In .order to give the Board an opportunity to meet d representative group of people from the area served by Snow College, the Ephraim Lions Club have arranged a banquet at 5:30 p.m., May 15th at Ephraim. Invitations have been extended to individuals from Piute, Wayne, Sevier, Juab and Sanpete Counties. His father, John Christensen, accompanied by members of the family, visited the sick man Saturday and Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Howard Christensen accompanied their son, Marvin, to the L.D.S. Hospital in Salt Lake, for an examination of a growth on his arm. It proved to be a tumor of the bone, and as soon as school is out, an operation is planned. Friday, the grade school children, their teachers and some mothers, spent the day sightseeing in Provo. They visited the fish hatchery in Springville; ate dinner at Pioneer Park, visited stores, rode elevators and visited the science building and field house at B.Y.U. Mothers making the trip were Florence Jensen, Cleo Nelson, Valda Hales and Mary Christensen. Mrs. Peter Andreason is recovering from a serious illness that has kept her bedfast several days. Mr. and Mrs. Rex Jensen and son of Murray, visited from Sunday to Wednesday with Mrs. Alveretta Draper and Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Christensen. Mrs. Dell Lewis entertained members of the Redmond Homemakers Club, Wednesday evening. Eight were present, and played Pinochle, with Joyce Spencer and Gladys Peterson as prize winners. Out of town visitors here for Mothers Day, included Mr. and Mrs. James Christensen and children; Miss Cecelia Alva, who visited at the Elmer Nelson home; Keith and Verona Jensen and Richard Rogers; Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Jensen, Mr. and Mrs. Nyals Humphrey and Mr. and Mrs. Calvert Peterson. Mr. and Mrs. Jay Lund spent the week end visiting Mr. Lunds parents, Mr. and Mrs. Reed Lund, at Sandy. Sunday, the family enjoyed an outing at Lagoon. Mrs. Orrin Yergensen entertained at a birthday party in honor of her daughter, Myma Vee, Monday evening.
