Becky Barker, Salt Lake, visited two weeks with her Mrs. Vontess grandmother, Jensen. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Barker. Mr. and Mrs. Owen Christensen went to Salt Lake Thursday and got their son, He Ryan, at the airport. visited overnight and flew back to San Francisco for the wedding of Kevin Cherry. He was best man. He left the next day to go back to his Navy base in Hawaii. Mr, and Mrs. Glendon Anand A German brown trout caught in Fish Lake on the June 2 fishing opener has come close to the record brown caught in 1924. In fact, the trout may have surpassed the old record of 25 pounds 5 14 ounces caught by W. Smart at Logan Reservoir; but a scale to measure exact ounces was not on hand when the lunker was caught. Fishermen Lead Wildlife Arrests Fishing violations accounted for 46 percent of in Utahs wildlife April and May, according to the Division of Midlife Re- arrests sources. Arrests were heaviest in May when 160 cases were handled. Fishermen accounted for 50 percent of all violators that month. Conservation officers found 41 persons fishing without a license, 13 taking fish out of season, and 26 more breaking miscellaneous fishing laws. Hunters in May accounted for 26 percent of the arrests with such acts as hunting without licenses, taking wildlife out of season and taking protected nongame birds. In April, 79 a r r e s t s were mad.. Of those, 38 percent were angling violations. Eleven persons took fish out of season, nine fished without a license and nine were miscellaneous angling law violators. Hunters were next in line with 19 violations.
