Aerial gunning requires a special permit from the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources. For bears and cougars, there are specific hunting seasons and license requirements. Mar-woo- ds Tre-mont- As you probably know by now, the President has cut out some programs in the Agriculture Expenditures. Department This may come as a shock to some of you, but I for one agree with him and I am sure this is Farm Bureau policy. We do not want government handouts, nor do we want government conThis is going to be trols. kicked back and f o r t h between the White House and Congress for some time to come and the farmer is going to suffer from both sides. The sooner we can get the government out of the farming business, the better for all concerned. This applies, too, I am surq to other segments of our great country. Why should the government subsidize the shipbuilding industry or the airlines or the railroads or any special group? It is near incometax time, and when we see the big share of our income that goes to our government, we get just a little unhappy, but whos fault is it? We want more and more help for our things we are doing, but we want the government to cut down somewhere else. The government is supposed to be the servant of the people but the wages we are paying this servant are way too high. We cannot afford it anymore. Who is to blame for the things you must buy going up in price faster than you can get the money to pay for them? Is it the government? NO! It is you, demanding more and more things from the government. Lets get this overgrown high priced servant into the position it should be in as a servant, not an overlord or even a partner. So I say we should let our Congressmen know we have had enough reckless overspending from them even if it hurts the things we are interested in. Yes, lets start on Agriculture and cut plenty off this fat hog all down the line. Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Waters accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Mark Pickett, of Gunnison, to Salt Lake Sunday.
