The hostess was Thelma Jeffery and she entertained at her home. A lovely lunch was served to 11 guests. Mr. and Mrs. Ruben Jensen, Wyoming, are spending some time in Salina. They are staying at the home of Rubens mother, Mrs. Mary Jensen and visiting other relatives and friends. Mrs. Newell (Mary Ann) Hatch and daughters, Janeen, Shelley and Cam! spent the weekend in Salina visiting Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Hatch and in Axtell with Mary Anns folks, Mr. and Mrs. Austin Mecham. Harry and LaDawn and children spent Sunday visiting with LaDawns parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dent Okerlund. Verdus Peacock spent Sunday visiting in Price with relatives and friends. He was delighted to see some of his mothers great granddaughters that he hadnt seen for years. Jerrie Cherry was hostess to Club at her home on Thursday evening, March 23rd. Rampton, Utah member, and Stan Womer, Federal Cochairman of the Four Corners Regional Commission. Womer said the grant for Wayne Wonderland Airport was approved as part of President Nixons program tobuild transportation facilities essential to economic growth in Utah. The Wayne County Commission is the applicant for funds from the Federal-Stat- e agency. They will be used to help resurface and enlarge Wayne Wonderland Airport. Womer said that Wayne County has great development potential, particularly for because of its proximity to Capitol Reefs National Park. It was proposed that the L.D.S. Church, the Counties and the local Church Units (Wards) should each share one third of the cost of County Volunteer Vice Chairman Charles R. Isbell, manager of the Richfield Employment Security Office.
