Mr. Heath recently retired from the Navy after 20 years. - PLAN WORKSHOP Mrs. Jack Madsen, Gun- nison, left; Mrs. Hugh King, Teasdale and Mrs. A workshop for wives of farmers and ranchers in District Six will be held August 17th at the Wistaria Cafe in Gunnison, commencing at 10 a.m. The luncheon speaker will be Leonard Johnson, American Farm Bureau National Resource Committee. The first day was centered on 'The Changing Face of Our Natural Resources,' with special attention on open burning, pesticides, water pollution, animal wastes, water resources, state and national parks and public lands. There was a great deal of discussion of the perplexities faced by agriculture. The report of the presidents, 'Public Land Law Review Commission' came in for attention as this study is being evaluated. With the large majority of these lands located in the western states, much in Utah, the action of the reports will affect local residents. This report was given by Leonard Johnson, American Farm Bureau Natural Resources Committee.
