Death Claims Mother Of Mrs. Jacobsen Funeral services for Sarah Agusta Sorenson, 79, were held June 13 in the Ephraim West LDS Ward Chapel. Mrs. Sorenson died of natural causes June 9 at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Irvin L. Jacobsen, Salina. She was born June 5, 1891 in Ephraim to Charles John and Serena Beck Stevens. She married Parley E. Sorenson January 26, 1910 in Ephraim. The marriage was solemnized March 11, 1911IntheMantiLDSTemple. Mr. and Mrs. Sorenson celebrated their 60th wedding ann1 iversary in January. She was the mother of seven children, of which only two daughters survived infancy. She also raised her brothers baby until he was accidentally killed when only four years and nine months of age. Gustee, as she was known, had a special gift of making those around her feel happy and good. She was an excellent cook and enjoyed treating friends to her baldng specialties. She was a member of the stake and ward choir, Singing Mothers and a Relief Society teacher. She is survived by her husband and two daughters, Mrs. Jacobsen, Salina and Mrs. Rex J. (Dorothy) Hawkins, Benjamin; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; brother, sister, Simon B. Stevens, Mrs. LaVar (Marguerite) Taylor, both Eph- Delegates to the Sevier County Republican convention pared the candidates for the Utah State House of Representatives from Sevier County, District 65, to two from the four who had filed and followed the same procedure in the race for the Salina precinct justice of the peace. Norman Fullenbach, publisher of the Richfield Reaper and O. Woodrow Parsons, bakery owner were the successful candidates in the representative voting and will face each other in the September primary. Eliminated were Stanley Burgess, Salijia stockman and James Clawson, radio station manager. Elliot Crane of Salina had withdrawn prior to the convention. Incumbent Dan Thompson and Thad Wasden were successful in the voting for precinct justice, defeating Clifford K. McCall and Enoch Elijah Staples. All four are from Aurora. In the other offices where two candidates had filed, none received the required 70 percent to eliminate his competitor. Elmo Herring, former Richfield Mayor and Arnel Dastrup, Incumbent, will face each other in the primary for the two-yecounty commission post. Scott Hawley, Central and Ernest Lee, Monroe will be competing for the nomination for four-yecounty commissioner. Incumbent Ben Ainsworth of Richfield and Robert Leon Olcott of Monroe are paired in the primary for the post of treasurer-recorde- r. Mr. Ainsworth was the treasurer but the two offices have been combined this year in Sevier County. Tex Olsen, incumbent andK.L. Mclff will face each other in the primary for the office of Sevier County Attorney. Republicans Sheriff Rex Huntsar ar Heart Ailment Claims Life Of Lorene Thompson A sudden heart attack while visiting with her family in Aurora claimed the life of Lorene Stewart Thompson, 40, on June 13th. Mrs. Thompson was riding with her husband and mother on Aurora Main Street when struck with the fatal attack. Every effort was made to save her life by family members and volunteers but to no avail. Mrs. Thompson was born August 26, 1929 in Aurora, the daughter of John R. and Mayda Christensen Stewart. She attended the Aurora schools and graduated from North Sevier High School In Salina. She served an al LDS Mission in the States. June 4, 1954 she married Darwin A. Thompson in the Manti LDS Temple. The couple was making their home in Blackfoot, Idaho and had come to Aurora with their family for a short West-Centr- visit. Survivors include her husband, two sons and three daughters, David Thompson, Mayda Thompson, Mary Ann Thompson Karen Thompson and Tim Thompson, all of Blackfoot; her mother, Aurora; brothers and sisters, Eugene Stewart, Parker, Arizona; Dr. Gordon Stewart, Amherst, Massachusetts; John D.
