Kirk is the son of Mr. Mrs. Kent Jeffery, Salina. and Former Resident Passes Friday At Spanish Fork A former resident, Mrs. Edna Sophia Herbert Tanner, 71, of Spanish Fork died Friday of a heart ailment. She was born December 26, 1893 in Salina, the daughter of Charles Martin and Martha Wells Herbert. She married Clarence H. Tanner Feb 1, 1S23 in the Manti LDS Temple. Mrs. Tanner graduated from Brigham Young University and taught school in Ogden, Salina and Payson. She was a member of the DUP and served as LDS Relief Society president of the Belvedere Ward in Salt Lake City. Survivors include her husband; Paul H. Kirk is stationed at Hunter Air Force Base. Savannah, Ga., which is the focal point of the airlift. Lt. Jeffery, a pilot of a C124 Globemaster aircraft, flies from Hunter to San Ysidro air base, which is about 20 miles east of the capital of the revolution-tor- n island, then to Puerto Rico for refueling, and then back to the United States. The crew rests for 15 to 18 hours, then returns for another full-sca- Hyrum Wilford Jorgensen, 83, lifelong resident of Redmond, passed away May 11 at a Rich-file- d Rest Home from natural causes after an illness of two months. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Redmond Ward chapel, with Bishop MerRn Ashman conducting the rites, The Warren R. Jensen Funeral Home is in charge of arrange- ments. Mr. Jorgensen was bom at Redmond Dec. 20, 1881, the son of Jens Christian and Kjerstin Olsen Jorgensen. He pursued the occupation of farming during his lifetime. Mr. Jorgensen was a past member of Redmond Town Board and a member of the North Sevier 107th Quorum of Seventy. On Jan. 14, 1903 he was married to Mary Christensen in the Manti Temple; she passed away Nov. 20, 1908. He married Violet Hansen, Dec. 8, 1909 and she died Dec. 26, 1918. On Sept. 14, 1925 he was married to Caroline Hansen Mickelsen and she passed away March 7, 1959. Survivors include the following children: Mrs. Clore White, Mrs. Tom (Veone) Wilkinson, both Salt Lake; Mrs. Adley (Fawn) Peterson, Mrs. Owen Terrance Christensen, (Elva) Jorgensen and Evan Mickelson, Redmond; Mrs. Errol (Dal- Mickelsen, Salina; and Mrs. Clyde (Theo) Mortensen, Rich-pafield; 40 grandchildren and 54 iting in southern California the week returned home Thurs- day.
