The framing and molding department of Mr. Rosengren's establishment is the most complete of its kind south of Salt Lake City. Every kind of frame v erv Ro-cngr- en first-clas- bv-gon- -- -- Irovo and Utah County are especially fortunate in having a goodly number of business men who have the confidence of the people and who are able to handle the different businesses s which go to make up towns and cities. The Art bazaar, which is run under the management of Mr. J. if. Rosengren, is one of the stores that makes the city attractive ami helps to give it a metropolitan air. It presents a very neat appearance and but a peep at the windows of this establishment will show that its manager is progressive and understands his business. The store, which is located at 234-- 6 Center street, If some good inventively ine clined man of ages had told the people of his time that he had discovered a means whereby he could turn burning hot team into frost v cold ice bv a simple chemical process, it is doubtful if he would not be pronounced an eligible subject for an institution for the mcntalh unbalanced. hether the thinkers of the past centuries had anv idea that the above proposition could be accomplished or not, it is now a fact, and in many of the main cities o! the country, of which Irovo is one, ice is being made from both steam and water at all seasons of the ear. lie Irovo Jee and Cold Stor- has an plant where they are making pure ice tor the of the residents ot Lrovo, and a visit to the factor will reveal to the most skeptical that artificial ice is the purest of all ice. The visitor will also be convinced that the day of dirtv ice ponds is a thing of the past, and people need not list.- ice that is made of muddv meadovv water, because they can get pure spring and tillered water age company te con-umpti- on tricity. They also have a very large storage room which is ample to contain the large output of the plant. As there has been considerable supposition concerning the making of ice. which some people have said was made of a mixture of ammonia and water, it would be verv profitable for some people to visit the ice house of this company and learn for themselves that the water used is perfectly pure, and much more free from injurious substances than ordinary drinking water. The making of ice is done by a process which seems verv simple. Spring water is eonveved into a suitable steam boiler, where it is evaporated and the steam enters a steam condenser, where it is again converted into water, this water being pure and distilled. It1 is then cooled and filtered twice before entering the freeing cans. In these freezing cans it takes from tilly to seven tv live hours to -- i; with the water which makes the ice. It will be seen that the ammonia does not in any way have access to the water in any place in the whole plant, so that the idea of ice being made from ammonia water is entirely wrong. The manner in which the ice is handled after it is frozen, when it is taken from the cans, proves that the management is looking after the interests of the people who consume the ice. The tloors are clean, as are also all the apparatuses that arc used throughout the whole plant. This is one of the home which the people of Irovo have reason to be proud of, and an afternoon cannot be spent better than to visit this plant and be assured that it is clean and inviting, and. best of all, be assured that the water from which the ice is made is the purest in the world. It is a good industry and well managed. insti-tmio- ns - ice. In visiting the plant the kindest attention is given by Manager Olson, who understands his business very thoroughly. While the plant is not the largest in (Instate, it has run full capacity, and last year there were more calls for ice than could be supplied bv the company. Ibis season promises to be just as favorable for the business. The plant is located in the (Cl H. T. REYNOLDS, President. L. D. DEAL, Vice - President. J. C. DEAL, Secretary and Treasurer. L. D.
