Show ! p Obituaries jj Shirley William Wight, 67, of West Sixth North, Brigham City, died Monday, Dec. 26, 1977, at Brigham City Community hospital. He was born Feb. 27, 1910, in of Joseph Brigham City, a son L. and Amilia Knudsen Wight. He married Edna Glenn on May 4, 1939, in Logan. 709 attended Utah State uni- versity and owned and operated an ice manufacturing plant in Brigham City. He was a member of the First Baptist church and a member of Gideons International. He was a former director of the Greater Brigham City Area Chamber of Commerce and a former city councilman. He was for 31 years a member of the Brigham City Fire department in which he served as chief. He was a past member of the Utah Firemens association. Survivors include his wife of Brigham City; one son, Robert Glenn Wight of Austin, Texas; two grandchildren, two brothers, Irving Wight of Liberty, and Carlyle Wight of Iglewood, tom Shirley Wight Richard H. Dial Richard Harold Dial, 62, of 100 South 41 West, Willard, died Dec. 24, 1977, in a Brigham City hospital of natural causes. He was born June 11, 1915, in Avery, Iowa, a son of Harry and Lillie Irene Baker Dial. He married Minnie Ellen Miller on March 4, 1944, in Albia, Iowa. He had been employed as a truck driver. He had resided in Iowa, Arizona, California, Montana, Nevada and Wisconsin before moving to Willard four years ago. He was a member of the Baptist church. Survivors include his widow, Willard; four sons and five daughters, James and Richard E. Dial, both of Willard; William E. Dial, Lemons, Mo.; Richard Harold Dial (McFar' land), Montana; Mrs. Calvin (Lillie Diane) Wright, Ogden; Mrs. R. C. (Rosemary) Duncan, Merced, Calif.; Minnie Irene Dial, Unionville, Mo.; Gloria Dial, Des Moines, Iowa, and Linda Dial of Kentucky; 22 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Ogden with Pastor F. K. Edwards officiating. Burial was in Ogden City cemetery. Calif. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 11 a.m. in First Baptist church with Pastor Tom Vance conducting. Friends may call prior to services at Petersen chapel in Brigham City. Interment will be in Brigham City cemetery. the Richard and Addie Wilkerson Rucker. He married Vera Kupfer in 1951 in Tremonton. They were later divorced. He married Lois C. Helbach on Jan, 19, 1974, in Pocatello, Idaho. He was reared and educated in Bear River valley and was a veteran of the Army. He owned and operated a farm in Hansel valley and had been employed by the National Park service at Golden Spike National Historic site. He was an elder in the Tremonton First LDS war'd. Surviving are his widow of Tremonton; three sons, Leon K. Rucker and Roger K. Rucker, both of Ogden; Randy M. Rucker, Salt Lake City; three stepsons and three stepdaughters, Douglas S. Helbach, Ogden; Curtis F. Helbach and Warren F. Helbach, both of Salt Lake City; Claire C. Helbach, Tremonton; his parents of Brigham City; two brothers and four Estella Grace Gardner Fryer, 94, of Deweyville, died Monday, Dee. 26, 1977, in Bear River Valley hospital in Mrs. She was born Aug. 2, 1883, in Deweyville, a daughter of Milo V. and Margaret Montgomery Gardner. She was married to John Andrew Fryer on Oct. 21, 1903, in the Logan LDS temple. He died in April 1969. She was a member of the Deweyville LDS ward and served in the YWMIA presidency, Primary presidency and was a teacher, Relief society work cher. director and visiting tea- She had Red Cross been a member of the auxiliary.
