Richard Lawson will conduct the worship service, and the choir will sing a reformation hymn. This coming week is Reformation week. We honor those reformers Luther, Calvin, Zwingli, Knox, Tyndale, Huss, and others, who revitalized the living word of the Bible for us and made us realize how Gods word is revealed to us each day. Oct. 31 is remembered as the day when, in 1517, Martin Luther posted his 95 theses on the door of the church at Witten-burGermany. Among many other things Luther wrote, he said this, in terms of Christian freedom and responsibility. A Christian man is the most free lord of all and subject to none; a Christian man is the most dutiful servant of all, and subject to everyone. During the service there will be a Sunday school provided for children from age four through sixth grade in Gillespie hall. Nursery is provided. Friday evening there will be a special stewardship training dinner, potluck style, for those visitation teams. Every member visitation will take on place from Oct. 30 through Nov. 13. Letters and copies of the 1977 budget are being sent to every home in the parish. Please read through these carefully. It is the hope of both the Risk Evangelism committee and the Stewardship committee that the green Risk Option sheet included in the mailing will be read and that each family will select one of the four risk options included there. Ronald Kowalski, pastor, and Thomas Carter of Tremonton and George of Brigham City will lead both congregations in an inspiring tribute to the heritage of religious faith inspired the Reformation.
