From the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources is the word that most areas in Northern Utah should be at least as good as last year and some probably (AYSO) teams had success this past Friday and Saturday with three victories. Friday afternoon, the 2 year old team went to Logan for a game against one of the 12 teams in that age group. Score for that game was Boys on the team from Brigham City are Roger Thom, Dan 10-1- Montgomery, Crae Berrett, James Taggart, John Mathis, Darin Richards, David Levin-thand Wayne Butler. Scoring for the team was Wayne Butler. Saturday morning the 9 year old team (division six) traveled to Logan to play a sixth division team there. The local team was victorious 7 to 0. Scoring for Brigham Bombers were Chris Kihlstaduis with five goals, one while playing halfback and four playing forwards. Jeff Taggart and Brian Law scored one goal each. The team played well together, keeping the Logan killers on defense the entire game. Other boys on the Brigham City team are Marshall Han-nuMike Petty, Andy Clayton, Mark Lemon, Tim Smith, Ricky Lawson, Marie Lawson, Todd al John, Blake Hunsaker and Shawn Evans. AYSO Big Boys (division two ages five and up) played a fremepdous game at, home (Watkins park) against a superb Ogden team. The game was fast and skills were to be admired. The boys were excellent on defense keeping the ball on Ogdens half of the field 80 percent of the game. Ogden .managed only four shots at the Brigham goal. Brigham had eight cooner kicks and 12 nonscoring shots at their goal. Scoring all goals for Brigham City was Lynn McMullin. The first goal came after 18 minutes of play from 12 yards out. Goal number two was made in a jam full of traffic from eight yards out. The last goal again was scored in traffic from six yards out after a corner kick six minutes into the second half. This weekend will see no games or practices, neither Friday or Monday. Brighams AYSO Big Boys will be at Layton against Clearfield Oct. 29 at 11:30 a.m. They are still undefeated in three games. AYSO welcomes other boys and girls to join the program. Games for the fall have been sparse but games are being lined up with other AYSO regions, (Logan and Kaysville). Practices at Watkins park, are on Mondays and Fridays (3:45 p.m. to 5 p.m.) unless notified by coach. better.
