And those holding winning tickets need not be present. Among the items will be a 12 gauge shotgun, clock radio, Coleman jug, Coleman heater, sleeping bag, binoculars, hand mixer, two recapped snow tires and a $10 bill. The Brigham City Lions club issued a reminder this week that its annual turkey shoot will be staged Saturday, Sept. 17, at the organizations shooting range west of town. The event will begin at 10 a. m. and ccininue through the day, offering prizes and fun for those participating, a spokesman said. This is a traditional undertaking from which the local service club raises funds for community projects. Trap shooting, splatter boards and food and beverages will be featured during the day with a turkey to be given away every hour beginning at 12 noon to lucky ticket holders attending the shoot. At 6 Tickets selling at 50 cents each are available from any Lions club member and will be sold at the shoot. The shooting range is located about one mile west of town on Forest street, site of the former city dump. Griffiths, were recipients of the annual Museum-Galler- y Silver award presented as part of the Peach Days Art festival as the couple visited the museum-galler- on y Saturday afternoon. Delone Glover,. chairman of Tfie board,' y museum-galler- made the presentation. She cited Mr. and Mrs. Griffiths not only as frequent visitors but also persons who have lent considerable support to the local art facility and its activities. Visitors to the museum-gallerthis month will find it an excellent showcase of local artistic talent. A field of 112 entries in the annual Peach Days Art fesitval is on display and will remain on exhibit throughout September. Some of the fun of a competitive show is the art judges, but this years winning works also seem to be public choice of those who visited the , in Brigham City. In addition to the art exhibit there is a display of some 300 pairs of salt and pepper shakers from the collection of Mrs. Ruth Young. There are sewing machines, television sets, ice cream cones, a piano, golf balls, pickles, fried eggs, light blubs, and every sort of animal and bird., .all designed as salt and pepper shakers.
