He married Marilyn Macfar-lan- e of Cedar City on April 18, 1964 in the Los Angeles temple. He was a 1937 graduate of Box Elder High school and a graduate of the University of Utah where he was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa fraternity. He earned a Ph.D. in physics from Columbia university and taught physics at the University of Nevada-Renfor several years. He was then employed as a research physicist at the Dug-wa- y Proving grounds for a few years and later as a research physicist in the aerospace industry on the Los Angeles area. At the time of his death he of an was the automotive transmission repair shop in Santa Monica. He was an active member of the LDS church and held Thomas Baron, 76, formerly of Brigham City, died May 26, 1977, in North Bend, Ore., of a heart attack. He was born April 2, 1901, in Hyrum, to Thomas and Caroline Petersen Baron. He married Hulda Madlock in North Bend, Ore. He managed Baron Woolen Mills in Brigham City many years ago. He was an elder in the LDS church. Survivors include his wife of North Bend; a son and three daughters, all of Oregon, numerous grandchildren; one brother, Glen Baron of Brigham City; two sisters. Hazel Mills, McGill, Nev., and Leta Petersen, North Salt Lake. Funeral services were held Saturday in North Bend. daughter, u week. He formerly owned a dealership in Ford. Lincoln and Mercury automobiles in Trenionton, and operated a Studebaker-Packardealership in Brigham City. He was a partner in building and establishing Cummins Intermountain Diesel in Salt Lake City and had done extensive building work in Brigham City, Tremonton and California. He attended Bear River High school. He was a high priest in the Brigham City First LDS ward and was a former high councilman in Box Elder stake. He served an LDS mission in the central states in 1926-2Survivors include his wife of Brigham City; two sons and a daughter, Marion Bruce Carr and Mrs. Jay G. (Marilyn) Lindberg, both of Mantua; Jerry Joe Carr, Brigham City; 15 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild. Also, a brother and sister, E. John Carr, Salt Lake City, and Dorothy Roundy, Lehi, Utah.
