Jensen, 84, of Phoenix, Ariz., formerly of Brigham City, died Sunday, April 24, 1977, in a Phoenix nursing home following an extended illness. He was born Jan. 22, 1893, in Mink Creek, Idaho, a son of Jacob and Kristine Rasmussen Jensen. He married Esther Christine Funk in Brigham City on Feb. 28, 1913. She died Nov. 22, 1963. He had been a building con- tractor in Wyoming and later worked at Hill Air Force base until retiring. He had lived in Brigham City, Evanston, Wyo., Layton and Phoenix. He was a member of the 100F lodge of Evanston. Surviving are one son and on daughter, DeVern Joseph Jensen, Phoenix; Mrs. Eleanor Pantalone, Sacramento, Calif.; eight grandchildren and six one half-brothe- r, Peter Miller, Brigham Ammon A. All will represent Box Elder at the state drama meet April at the University of Utah. Brigham City Treasurer Cleora Rawlins has been elected a director with the Utah Municipal Treasurers association. Mrs. Rawlins was one of two Jackson and Frances Young Firth. He married Bertha Ann Ray on Jan. 31, 1917 in the Salt Lake Temple. She died in 1967. He was a farmer. He was a member of the LDS church, serving in scouting, was a home teacher, Sunday school teacher and high priest. He has also served in the Bothwell bishopric. Survivors include three sons and three daughters, Ray Firth of Paul, Idaho; LeRoy Firth of Bothwell; Dee Firth of Ogden; and the value of exchanging information between treasurers by participating in treasurers associations which are formed for the explicit purpose of professional education of public directors named during the treasurers. organizations third annual Fifty-seve- 1 your presence at the wedding and subsequent marriage of She (Agnes) and He (Michael) Friday, April 29 at 8 p.m. at the Heritage Theater in Perry. There is no performance during the week of May 6 due to a previous commitment of Mitch Hansen, who plays the part of He (Michael). The entire play is carried by the performances of Mitch Hansen and Shelley Woods. Cathi Kathy Earl M. Firth, 84, of Bothwell, died Tuesday, April 26, 1977 at the Bear River Valley hospital in Tremonton of natural causes. Kent Hansen is a veteran with many plays to his credit, including Tom Truehart in Somethings Rotten at the Sawmill, a play written by Hansen. Miss Woods is also well versed in the theater. Among her credits is the role of Minnie in an Ogden performance of The Order is Love. Although Kent Hansen is well able to act, and has been in. plays, including the role of King Pelinor in Camelot, his first love is in the field of directing. Tolman, Pocatello, Idaho; a daughter, Arlyne Dinizo of San Lorenzo, Calif.; five grandchildren; a brother, Jarvis Tolman of Perry; and sisters, Mrs. Wilma McManus of Beverly Hill, Calif.; Mrs. Elsie Faucett of Oakland, Calif. Tolman, 62, of Oakland, Calif., formerly of Honeyville, died Saturday, April 23, 1977, in Oakland of heart failure. He was born Dec. 17, 1914, in Thatcher, a son of Truman and Beatrice Loveland Tolman. He married Ruth Cropley. They were divorced. He later married Bernice Evans. They were divorced. He attended schools in Box Elder county and was a graduate of Box Elder High school. He was a member of the LDS y City. Funeral services were held Wednesday in Ogden. That is exactly what occured last weekend as Sarah Yates, womens editor for the Bex Elder News and Jeoraal, carried away two communications contest first prise awards at the annual spring meeting of the Utah Press Womens association. One of the awards was in the category of Special Articles: Historical in which three articles on one subject must be entered to show an knowledge of the subject. With its bicentennial emphasis, 1976 was a bumper year few historical articles and entries in the contest. One of the judges made special note that he had made copies of the articles for use in his university classes in Utah history. Also garnering first-plac- e honors in the women's pages edited category, Mrs. Yates had entered three editions of the Thursday Box Elder Journal.
