Over 80 members of the Lorenzo Dan Perry family met for their very first family reunion on Saturday, Nov. 27 at the Perry ward cultural hall. Lorenzo Dan had two wives, the first having eight children and the second nine, thus giving him 17 children in all. It was a real fun occasion for all those attending with many cousins meeting for the first time. Move Away Ray and Judy Kraus and family have bought them a home in Deweyville and spent this past weekend moving. On Sunday afternoon Ray returned to Perry to get another load of their belongings when an accident happend and a fire broke out in which Ray was burned quite badly. Ray is now in the intensive care unit at the McKay hospital in Ogden. We certainly hope he will heal real rapidly and soon be able to be with his family to enjoy their new home in Deweyville. Throughout the Box Elder School District a volunteer program is being organized to assist the teacher of the schools. The Perry PTA is supporting them in this program and are inviting all residents of the community to assist them in this project. A school volunteer is men and women of all ages and walks of life who are willing to serve a designated number of hours each week or month. They are united by an interest in helping children. At the Perry school we have two such volunteers who have donated many many hours over the past several years serving as Bookmobile Ladies, assisting each month with the books. Mrs. May Wagstaff and Mrs. Wanda Sebek really enjoy the time they spend with our - chlldreh, evmt though neither have children attending Perry school.
