The newest twist is the terrible disease galloping thru my house called the Swine Clock Flu. It began with the kitchen timer. The ding went dong in the middle of a baking cake. Which fell of course when I opened the door. Next the kitchen clock fell off the wall and broke the glass and the minute hand. I hung it back up and told it to mind its manners. Then the feligree clock over the couch started slowing down and making me even later than usual. One morning it stopped at nine and it was four weeks before husband took a battery out of the flashlight for a replacement. The bedroom was next on the E. Well, anyway we had been sleeping up until that time. Sept. 23. Airman assigned to Lowry DaOo Imagine if you will two adults, one trying to find the plug to the thing and one jumping and screaming Shoot the cannons again, boys. After I found the plug and calmed husband down, I found the old wind-u- p alarm and set it. Everyone was late because I forgot to pull the bell button and it didnt ring. So of course everyone (including early morning baby) overslept. Now Ive borrowed the two big kids alarms. One sits next to the bed. It goes off husband turns it off and goes back to sleep. Shuts off Clock Five minutes later the other one on the dresser, goes off. Husband bounds across the room to shut the thing off. I hurry and make the bed and so we are both up.
