Or maybe you are a bargain hunter and looking for something special? If so let the Perry PTA help you out. We have just what youve been looking for. A rummage sale to be held next Friday and Saturday, Sept. 26 and 27 at the Perry elementary school. To make this sale a big man, Ms. Vonetta Bradbury, hospitality chairmen, Mrs. Gay Tams and Mrs. Bonnie Nelson; reflections chairmen, taking part. Each of the five sons, Larry, Kent, Neil, Dale and Chad spoke with music by Beverly and Holly Johnson, accompanied by their mother Tess. It was a real special day for the Johnsons having all their everyone in the community to participate. If you have larger items that you wish to sell the PTA will sell them for you and you can receive one half the sale price back. All you have to do is to price these items and have them to the Perry school by 4 p.m. on Sept. 26. Any items that you wish to donate to the PTA will be priced by workers and they should also be at the School by 4 p.m. garten: Mrs. Carolyn Sybrow-sk- y and Mrs. Deloris Dorius; first grade, Mrs. Betty Wilson and Mrs. JoAnn Kunzler; second and third grade, Mrs. Judy Osmond and Mrs. Marilyn Nelson; third and fourth grade, success, they are inviting Bake Sale bake sale is also being planned this day and all parents of Perry school children will be asked to help with this by either donating an item or $1. Items will be sold Friday, Sept. 26 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and then again on Saturday, Sept. 27 from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. So lets everyong in the area contribute and then come out and support the PTA in this special project. It was a real success last year and everyone had fun in doing it. And many fine items were obtained for the school from the proceeds. This year the proceeds will be used for a special bicentennial project, which it is hoped will include some landscaping in the front of the school building with a name plate telling which school it is. It is also hoped that some improvements can be made in the school playground equipment, so a lot of help is needed from everyone. Back to school night was held last Thursday evening at the Perry elementary school with a largo grim,) n attendance. A Conducted PTA president, Mrs. Raylene Nelson conducted the meeting which was highlighted with musical numbers by the third, fourth and fifth grade classes under the direction of Mrs. Joycle Poulsen and accompanied by Mrs. Lois Burt. They were assisted by teachers Mrs. Virginia Eskelsen and Mrs. Lois Thorne. The salute to the flag was led by Mrs. Yvonne Adams and Mrs. Pat Weight, Mrs. Carol Dickey, Mrs. Carolyn Sybrow-sky- , Mrs. Carol Billings, and Burnett Smith assisted in the object presentation. The PTA chairmen were then introduced as follows: health chairman, Mrs. Melba Wheeler; safety chairman, Mrs. Judy Osmond; Halloween chairmen, Marilyn Walker and Mrs. Kay Jenkins; fund raising chairman, Mrs. Darlene Bawden; Marie Johnson and Mrs. Lois Thorne; legislature and parlementarian, Mrs. Vickie Anderson; teachers appreciation dinner, Mrs. Gloria s, Mrs. Marilyn Nelson; and decorations, Mrs. Dixie Walker. Photographers will be Richard and Carol Dickey. Crouch, Room Mothers Room mothers will be kinder- pre-scho- children and grandchildren with them. Big Circle ladies of the Perry First ward should put a big circle around Sept. 24 on their calendar. This will be the fall social for the women of the ward and all women, whether you attend morning Relief society, second session on Tuesday evening, or third session on Sunday mornings plan on attending at 7 p.m. President Mrs. Nola Youngs says There is something special for everyone, so be sure and attend. Oh, and remember your big red juicy apple". Members of the First ward Aaronic Priesthood and Young Ladies activity groups enjoyed their opening social last Tuesroad day evening with a rally. This was something really special and lots of fun. The group then met at the church of a watermelon bust. The Second ward Aaronic Priesthood and Young Ladies activity group met on Wednesday evening for their opening social and they enjoyed many fun games and refreshments at the church. Principal Darel Johnson then introduced the school staff and the PTA officers presented each with a corsage and butioner. The staff is: Mrs. Alta Barnard and Mrs. Velva Green-halgschool cooks: Mrs. Lois Burt, instructor in the organ program; Jay and Joyce Matthews, custodians; Mrs. Rosamond Melartin, learning disabilities teacher; Mrs. Kittie Osborn, Title I teacher; Mrs. Judy Blysma, librarian; Ms. Joycle Poulsen, secretary; Ms. Ilene Tucker, kindergarten; Mrs. Marie Johnson, first grade; Mrs. Virginia Eskelsen, second and third grade; Mrs. Lois Thorne, third and fourth grade; Cleone Wight and Darel Johnson, fifth and sixth grades. The parents were then invited to visit each of their students classes and were greeted by the teachers. Refreshments were then served by the hospitality committee. New Families We are having so many new families moving into Perry in the housing area on the hill that it is real hard to keep up with them. There is a King family now living on Cherry street and we would like to welcome them to Perry. Also an Eggerston family has moved into Dale DUP Meets The Three Mile Creek Camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers met at the home of Minnie Jenks on Sept. 3 to start off their new year. The meeting was conducted by Captain Zina Petersen. A history of Mrs. Lois Nelson and Mrs. June Rasmussen gave the lesson of what was happening in the year "1875. Refreshments were served by Mrs. Minnie Jenks and her daughters. Kevin McNeeley graduated from Primary Sunday evening in the Perry First ward. Bishop Lynn Reeder presented him with his graduation certificate and he was then ordained a Deacon following Sacrament meeting. Kevin is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert McNeeley. Sacrament meeting in the First ward Sunday evening was a missionary report by Elder Chad Johnson who has just returned from the New York Rochester mission. Sunday, Sept. 21, is the eighteenth Sunday after Pentecost. The Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday evenings, the trainees will meet at the vicarage. Wednesday, Sept. 24, the Holy Eucharist will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. in honor of St. Matthew, apostle and evangelist. Wagstaffs home and we would also like to welcome them to our community. Following the service of worship, coffee, punch, and cookies will be served for the fellowship period. A special offering will be taken in support of the Box Elder Pantry. The children meet with the worshipping congregation until just before the sermon. Then they separate for church on their own level.
