Dean DuiiGGO The Brigham City swim meet, highlighting the season fer the Brigham City swim team, will be held Monday at 6lp.m. at the city pool. Both swim team and novice classes will perform and ribbons will be awarded the top five places in each of the categories. Some 80 swimmers are expected to participate. And immediately following the meet will be a pot luck supper for swim team members, parents and interested persons at the Pioneer park bowery. Election of new officers and a swim team committee will be held at this time. A discussion of the winter program is also on the agenda. The swim team committee will be enlarged to 10 members for the coming year with a representative for each of the five age groups for boys and girls. Eldredge def. R. Several track and field buffs from outside of Box Elder county are expected to participate in the third annual Senior Olympics Saturday at Intermountain school. Sponsored by the Box Elder Community Schools program and the Golden Spike Track club, the meet should see more women than ever. More older athletes are predicted for this meet, also. Cost is 50 cents per event and ribbons will be awarded the first through fourth places. The top three point getters in each of the age groups will receive trophies. Events are long jump, javelin, discus, shot and 50, 100, 220 and 440 dashes and 880, mile 22 mile and five mile runs. Meet directors are Les Dunn and Jack Winn. Age groups are womens 24 and under and 25 and over, and mens 19 and under and and 49 and 50 and over.
