Box Elder sprang into an early six point lead on March 7 after debate competition had been concluded at Weber State college. The tabulation at that date stood with Box Elder at 47 points; Bonneville at 41, and CARLOYN CARLSON selection as other organ students gather around. PLAYS o Tonight, March 25 Students to perform at Willard Care for a little organ music? school students, directed by Helen Jane Lemon, will perform on two nights (tonight and Tuesday) in a program free to the public. Willard Fifty students in five classes have been preparing for this event all school year. The programs start at 6:30 p.m. The students are in fourth to sixth' grades and for many, it will be their first time performing before a live audience. Mrs. Lemon says tonights program will be for classes and class 2. On March 25, classes 3, 4 and 5 will perform. Students pay )5 for the class which includes all supplies. If they have no instrument at home, they can practice on one of three organs the school has. Mrs. Lemon says through the of cooperation teachers at Willard school, students are allowed 15 minutes each day to practice alone, as well as an hour weekly for instruction. The program has been at the school three years and has involved some 100 different students, she says. Sky View at 40. Arvol Marcroft, president of the American Association of Retired Persons locally, is arranging the program. The association does this once monthly for the weekly luncheons. Menu for the luncheon, served right at 12 noon, will be baked pork steaks, baked potatoes, tossed salad, hot rolls, rice pudding with whipped cream, coffee and punch. The cost of the luncheon is 64 cents. Reservations must be made by 1 p.m. on Thursday 1 prior to the luncheon. Call for reservations or transportation.
