The sale and exhibit of fine paintings will be held during the regular business hours of the store, which has graciously given the guild a home" for the two-da- y preholiday event. There will be both framed and unframed original oil paintings by local artists, and they will be available for that will give the receiver not only an accent piece for home or office but also a gift that will increase in value through the years, according to a Guild spokesman. A special feature of the exhibit will be held from 2 to 4 p m. on Saturday only, with J. An example is the home of Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Whitaker, a split level house located on 675 South Sixth West. The family has lived in the home for five years and during that time has remodeled and redecorated to turn the home into one that fits their own needs. Special Tree Theres a family room in the lower level, with a television set just right for viewing of Sesame Street by youngsters Stephanie, age five, and Brad, age four. Their own special tree" is in that favorite family room, too, and is decorated with new or- naments added each year. Their mother Barbara says that the family often buys an ornament or memento for the tree as they go on family trips, just to provide a memory of the occasion. The members will enjoy special musical numbers by DUP News Drive. All types of homes are offered, so that lovers of the modern, the middle age, or older houses will all have a chance to look around at the type of homes that they prefer. Those attending the tour may visit the homes in any order, with tickets to be available at each of the homes listed. Tickets may also be purchased from members of the Civic Improvement club for one dollar a piece for adults, and children under 12 are not encouraged to attend. Addresses of the homes are printed on the tickets for easy reference in visiting. General chairman for the event Is Pauline O'Dell with Mary Stoner as director member. Committee members include Ruth Christoffersen, Jean Barnard, Leora Baron, Delonne Glover, Jean Davis, Miriam Jensen, Shirley Jensen, Georgia Petersen, Beverly Nelson, Betty Claybaugh, Mary Reese, Diane Drewes, Kathryn Fishburn and Annabelle Loosli. Hostesses from the club will greet guests at each home, and the committee extends an invitation to ithe - entire community to enjoy the afternoon of tours. Willow Creek Creek camp of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers will meet on Thursday, Dec. 19, at 1:30 p.m. at the home of Sandy Peck, 1771 North Main, Willard. This will be a Christmas party, and members plan to exchange homemade gifts. All members are urged to attend.
