The alcoholics may become as engrossed in his treatment and recovery as he was a short time ago in the drinking. This is especially true if he finds and accepts Alcoholics Anonymous. The alcoholic husband or wife may now spend each evening with these recovering alcoholics (such as A. It attempts to provide insight and n, understanding into the problems of its own members. If a familv wishes the drinking member to stop drinking and join A.A., they might first try and attend open A.A. meetings themselves. Recovery from alcoholism involves the healing of the emotional illness of all members of the family. If the alcoholic recovers emotionally and family members do not, there may be a serious breach in the family structure. The family must grow up emotionally before, during and after the alcoholics recovers, or serious estrangement may occur. Tekton, Inc., was low among eight bidders for the job Tuesday with a total figure of $513,000. Architect Don Frandsen had estimated the project at $526,000. The second low bidder was Watts Construction, Logan, with a basic bid of $522,600. County commissioners were delighted with the low figure after viewing the bidding with some anxiety. Theyve stated previously that $500,000 can be scraped up for the job, including some matching funds from the Office of Emergency Services (civil defense) and the Utah Law Enforcement Planning agency. Frandsen said it will probably take a week to 10 days to get federal approval of the bid. Asa White, superintendent for Tekton, said his firm plans to get started as soon as the contract is signed. Their daughter Beverly Jenkins, 27, escaped serious injury, according to Box Elder County Sheriff Warren W. Hyde. Two Explosions Sheriff Hyde said the fire apparently started after two explosions inside of the house. The blasts may have come from an electrical appliance, since an oil storage tank and furnace showed no signs of damage, he commented. The blasts were reported to have been seen by a motorist over a mile away on U.S. 191. apSheriff Hyde termed the fire, parently accidental, but his office has not ruled out any possibility of arson. He stated that cloud seeding is not new to the area, noting it was done as early as 1950. Since then many studies and some commercial cloud seeding have increased the possibilities of a practical weather modification program. The proposed project would include the five RC&D counties of Box Elder, Cache, and Rich in Utah, and Franklin and Oneida counties in Idaho along with some surrounding counties both in Utah and Idaho. Are Seeding Clouds counties in southern Utah are seeding clouds through a weather modification program, according to Richard Griffin, Utah State university, Studies conducted by the USU Water Research lab show that streamflow in the area can be increased from 10 to 120 percent above normal, according to lab representative Joel Fletcher. Fletcher reported that lightning suppression is a new development in the field of weather modification but quite successful. Ron Campbell from Juniper, Idaho, a graduate student in weather modification and an Oneida county dry farmer, reported some cloud seeding was done in Pine area last summer the Juniper-Blac- k with success.
