From Thanksgiving until New Years our paths are paved with calories. We cant escape them. Now its time to do something about it. If youre like most of us, that was one of your New Years resolutions. Ive found the only way to stick to my diet is to remove the temptations. Thats why theres a couple of fruit cakes and a box of candy going in the freezer. At least until my will power is built up. The first few days are the hardest. After that, you can think of how much youve suffered to maintain your diet and that will help you to stick to it. A good diet book will help too. I have my two numbers out today to help me plan my course. A good imagination helps too. That will e help you relish the flavor of a dry piece of toast as the diet book says. It can be done if you really make up your mind. All you have to do is decide whether you want to eat to live or live to eat, as Franklin further stated. dog-eare- win OF BRIGHAM Following the installation ceremony, a reception was held.
