Show 24 BOX ELDER JQURNAL, Brigham Thursday, October 4, 1973 City, Utah Garland Gazette woman visits son in Baltimore Local Honeyville Hotline by Flo Munson Couple returns from Alaska by Sharon Coleman Mr. and Mrs. Leland have returned from a trip to Alaska. There, they visited with their son and his family at Fort Richardson, Major and Mrs. Collin Hunsaker, daughter Jeanne. Grandson David is in Utah, attending Utah State university. The Hunsakers spent two weeks traveling throughout the area. They traveled by motor home to Seward, spending two nights camping on Summit and Kenai Lakes. The following weekend, they traveled to Valdez, and then by ferry for seven hours to Whittier. The Columbia Glacier was awe inspiring and they were thrilled with the dazzling blue Hun-sak- color. At Whittier, the motor home was loaded onto a flat car of a railroad line, since there is no road out of the small town, and they then traveled by rail through tunnels three or four miles long, before reaching Portage, and traveling back to Anchorage via the highway. Leland and June also took the train to Fairbanks where they spent the night and returned the following day, passing Mount McKinley in the process. Send Wishes . Major and Mrs. Hunsaker and daughter send their best wishes to their family and friends in Honeyville and Brigham, and extend an invitation for others to visit them in Alaska. On Saturday, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Hunsaker hosted a visit from Mrs. Edith Iverson of Dana Point., Calif, and Mr. and Mrs. Glen Iverson and son Nels of Salt Lake City. Elwood and Ruby Morgan were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. DeVern Rasmussen and Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Coleman and son Chip. Bishop and Mrs. Dee Hortin traveled to Salt Lake City International airport on Tuesday to bid good-by- e to their son Chris, who was leaving for a mission assignment to Mexico City. Alice Boothe has returned home after a frief hospital stay in Tremonton. Mrs. Emly Tolman of Tremonton, and Joe and Louise also of Tremonton, were visitors at the home of Ralph and Laura Tolman. Valmae Vaughan, North Ogden, has been visiting in the home of her mother, Rose Tolman. Also home for a short visit were David and Lettie Tolman, who then returned to Pocatello, where David is studying for his doctorate in math. Melvin and Tim Hawkes have returned to their studies at Weber State college. Melvin is studying accounting, while Tim is involved in elementary education. Meanwhile, Kelly Hawkes is employed as a carpenter in North Ogden. Steve Kobayashi is a sophomore at USU, and has likewise returned to his studies there. Rachel Bingham is involved in student teaching, and has to only two more quarters before her complete graduation. Lynn Bingham is helping with the family farm. Coj-bet- Surgical Training Mavis Tolman is taking surgical training at Cooley Memorial hospital. She plans to enter a career of nursing or surgical nursing. Holly Hortin is attending USU. She scored high in the Clep test, and has received credits for her abilities. She is seeking a secondary degree in social studies. Frank May has become so involved in one of his hobbies. ..snowmobiling... that he will soon be opening his own sales and repair shop in Honeyville. Jeremy William Setzer, born Aug. 31 in Aurora, Calif., was blessed last Sunday in the Honeyville LDS church by his great uncle Rulon Cardon of North Ogden. The young boy is the son of Bill and Carolyn Setzer, and the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Bryant Roberts of Honeyville, and Mrs. James Wadman of Brigham City. Bill, Carolyn and little Jeremy will be traveling to Tampa, Fla., where Bill will be on duty with the Army. With all the other babies who were blessed this past Sunday, it would be unwise to overlook Ralph Lowell Coleman III, who was blessed by his father Ralph Jr. Participating in the circle were the father, BeVern J. Rasmussen, grandfather; Bishop Dee Hortin; Thomas D. Hunsaker, counselor; DFrank Tolman, counselor; Delon Madsen, home teacher; Olof Zundel. and Scott Hess. That is a long handle to give to such a small boy, so the parents have decided to nickname him Chip for short. In the Harper ward area, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Warren are finding it hard to remember all d the names of their Two new were added to daughters-in-lathe family in one month when sons Craig and Kelly decided to marry their intendeds in the newly-acquire- s. same month. Craig and Barbara, daughter of H. Lyle and Beth Corbridge of Brigham City, were married last month in Elko, Nevada. A reception was held in their honor in the home of grandmother Alice Warren of Brigham City. Kelly and Carla, daughter of Fred and Betty McRoberts of Richfield, Idaho, were married in Richfield chapel by Bishop Tree, with a reception held in their honor after the ceremony. Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Bowcutt left this morning (Thursday) by plane for Baltimore, Md., to spend a week visiting ther son Mr. and and daughter-in-laMrs. Gerald Bowcutt and four children. Gerald is employed by Westinghouse company. Mrs. James Shumway and son Eric spent Sunday visiting Mrs. Shum ways mother Mrs. Mary P. Lindsay in Salt Lake City and her son Steve Shumway in Provo. Mr. and Mrs. W. Lee Thompson accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Brigham Godfrey of Clarkston spent Saturday in Montpelier and Immigration canyon. They enjoyed a picnic luncheon. Sunday Mr. and Mrs. Thompson visited their and daughter Mr. and Mrs. Larry Jaussi and family in Corinne. Spending the latter part of the week at Flaming Gorge were Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Carter and Mr. and Mrs. Garn Capener. A family party was held at the -- home of Mr. and Mrs. Karl Boss in Salt Lake City Friday evening. Judy Mason will be assisting her in the area of education, as will Ethyl Gardner in the field of homemaking. Bernice Germer has been named to serve as secretary.
