Deepest sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Olga Rasmussen who died Saturday of a stroke. She was a mother, s. greatg- grandmohter, and a friend to all. She will be sorely missed by the community. randmother, Pack Meeting Troop 217 of West Corinne will be having its pack meeting Friday, Oct. 5 at 7:30 p.m. The boys and their families are all urged to come to the church house for this very special meeting. At troop 113 pack meeting many boys received honors. Among them were: Ollie Pierce receiving his arrow of light, graduation certificate, forester geologist badge, and his traveler badge; Ralph Trimble receiving his Bobcat pin; Eddy Rader receiving his arrow of light and graduation certificate; and Allen Cheney receiving his geologist badge, traveler badge, and forestry ' !., badge. 'rt! The Relief society' opening social was a grand success. The theme was A Night in Germany, featuring America and German food served to the background of German music. Allen and Mary Jo Shipley displayed their collection of German items and showed slides of Germany that they had taken while living there. Also, tumblers from the Grace Orme School of Dance performed. Flower decorations for the hall and tables were done by Margery Larsen and Wilma Johnson. The serving was done by Darlene Hansen, Mary Hill, Gwen Rader, Dyan Welch, Viola Cutler, and Doris Bingham. Special thanks go to Farriel Hill for making the root beer. Regular Meeting Relief regular Societys meetings will begin Tuesday, Oct. 9 at 10 a.m. with the visiting teachers meeting at 9: 30 a.m. Both wards will be invited to attend the Second Session Relief society beginning Sunday, Oct. 14 at 10:20 a.m. for women who work. The Corinne chapter of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers will be having their first meeting Oct. 10 at 3:30 p.m. at Miriam Thompsons They would like everyone to attend. Mr. Gerald Nisogi, son of and Mrs.Ichi Nisogi, was recently married to Terry Hori, daughter of Mrs. Jack Hori of Ogden. The couple was married in Elko, Nevada with family and friends attending. Neil Marble, son of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marble was married Sept. 28 to Brenda Ann Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard J. Schmidt of Bear River, in the Catholic church in Brigham. A reception was held afterwards in the Bear River LDS ward with decoration of purple and blue. The maid of honor was Attending a taco party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Potter in Tremonton Saturday evening were Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Udy and Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Stokes of Plymouth. Others attending were Mr. and Mrs. Charles Bourne, Bishop and Mrs. Ross Rudd, Mr. and Mrs. John L. Bourne West Fielding. The Birthday club met at the home of Mrs. Dennis Udy Wednesday evening with Mrs. Mrs. Hal Mason as Nina Lamb was honored on her birthday and presented with a nice gift. Musical games were played. A delicious dinner was enjoyed. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Verl Nish and family in Salt Lake City and Mr. and Mrs. Don Nish and family in Bountiful Friday were Mr. and Mrs. Newel Nish and Mrs. Joseph Stokes. Saturday Mrs. Newel Nish and Mrs. Joseph Stokes were in Ogden on business. Mrs. Gardner Udy spent Genevieve Jensen and Mrs. Mary Hess in Brigham City. Dinner Parties Attending a dinner party at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Tom Grill and family in Ogden Sunday were Mrs. Nina Lamb, Mr. and Mrs. Dick Owen and Tuneup class Bridesmaids were Ann Fenton, Kristy Nielson, Nedra Jensen, and Pammy Schmidt (sister of the bride). The best man was Dave Nagata. The ushers were Llyle Clark, Dutch Roche, Richard Nimori, and Curtis Marble (brother of the groom). The flower girl was Dana Fredrickson. The ring bearer was Greg Schmidt (brother of the bride). The couple took a short honeymoon to Jackson Hole and are now making their home in Corinne. Marion Fredrickson recently went to Washington on a trip to see her daughter, Ann, and her family. Accompanying Mrs. -Fredrickson - was her . grand--- i daughter, Annice, and a niece, Carol Van Dyke and her children, Wendy and Ryan. Mrs. Fredricksons daughter returned with her to Corinne for a short visit. auto mechanics class started Wednesday night at Utah State university but there are still openings, according to Sam Gordon of the Bridgerland Vocational center. Jerry Mumm, instructor, said the class will deal primarily with automotive tuneup. It is being conducted on Mondays and Wednesday from 7 to 10 p.m. and those interested can still sign up at the next class session in Mrs. Hal Mason accompanied by Mrs. Arthur Marriott of Garland and Mrs. Paul Hales of Tremonton surprised Mrs. Gordon Taylor in Brigham City by taking her a special birthday cake and spending the day with her Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. DeVere Hess accompanied their son Tommy to Salt Lake City where he has enrolled at the Utah Trade Tech. Spending Saturday in Ogden were Mrs. Vernon Lamb and daughters Linda, Elaine and Nonda. t Mr. annd Mrs. Norris Hess accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Drex Hess of Garland attended the Ice Follies and State Fair in Salt Lake City.
